Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of this website and, in general terms, the services Forge IT provides. Each engagement is governed by the proposal or contract agreed for that project; where there is a conflict, that agreement prevails.
Our services
Forge IT provides software product development, consulting, technical rescue, solution architecture and business process automation services, and also develops and operates its own software products. The scope, deliverables, timeline and price of any client engagement are defined in a written proposal before work begins.
Proposals and changes
Proposals are made in writing and are valid for the period stated in them. Work starts once the proposal is accepted. Changes to scope are discussed openly and re-quoted before they are made — no surprise invoices.
Intellectual property
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the bespoke deliverables created for a client are assigned to that client upon full payment. Forge IT retains ownership of its pre-existing code, tools, libraries, know-how and internal products, and grants the client the licence needed to use the deliverables. Nothing on this website transfers any rights in Forge IT’s own products, brand or content.
Confidentiality
Information shared in the course of an enquiry or engagement is treated as confidential and used only for the purpose it was shared for. We are happy to sign an NDA before you go into detail.
Warranties and liability
We work with reasonable skill and care, and we stand behind what we build. Software is complex, so we cannot warrant that any deliverable will be entirely error-free. To the extent permitted by law, Forge IT is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for an engagement is limited to the fees paid for it.
This website
The content of this website is provided in good faith and may change without notice. It does not constitute professional advice or a binding offer.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
